Scat 9000 series 383 cranks

I'm looking to build a 383 stroker. I've built a few SBF strokers but know nothing about SBC.

This is to be a lower RPM mid power level (400-450hp) TPI build with 700r4 transmission.

I've come across a scat crank but am confused by what it requires.

https://www.jegs.com/i/Scat/942/935050L/10002/-1

The details are:
Balances at 1830 to 1850 grams with standard weight flywheel, neutral standard balancer, and one-piece mallory (i.e. heavy metal) in counterweight.

Is this common?

On SBF engines they are commonly balanced external either 28oz or 50oz.

On my sbc I want to build it will have stock type balancer and flexplate.

I want to make sure everything works together.

Re: Scat 9000 series 383 cranks

I guess what I am trying to get at and do is assemble a stroker kit for half the cost of a purchased kit.

The 3.75" stroke crank - $240
Summit stroker pistons - $160
Main/connecting/cam bearings - $75
Rings - $20
Re-use stock connecting rods

The internal/external balance is what is confusing me on what I need.

1 piece rear seal SBC engines are internally balanced on the front and externally balanced in the rear. Flexplate or flywheel is counterweighted.

I would have a machine ahop balance it. My Scat crank had to be drilled in a few places and have 2 pieces of mallory metal added to balance correctly with my 6" rod 383. I would get the connecting rods brushed and use full floating pistons but that is just me.

Ok now I understand the balance. Thank you.
