Setting the timing

Hello again every body. I got a simple question i not to long ago put in a new distributor in my 92 Z28 5.7 TPI and i set the timing at 0 but I've heard some of these cars were set at 6 degrees before top dead center and i was wondering what's the best timing setting for these cars.

Re: Setting the timing

The under hood emissions sticker will tell you the stock timing setting. Should be 6 BTDC.

Re: Setting the timing

TPI should be set at 6 degrees. TBI is usually set to 0.
