Cant find where this wire connects on 5.7

Please help me identify this wire. 1991 5.7, Drivers side under the exhaust manifold. I have looked everywhere and I don't see a connection point anywhere to attach.
Much appreciate any input.


Wire unconnected. Appears to be green.

Looks like it goes to the temp sensor. Under the manifold sticking out the side of the block. It's a T shaped metal head on that sensor. Easy for the wire to come off. Think your dash gauge temp sensor will not work when that is disconnected.

Temp gauge sending unit.

Between the #1 & #3 spark plugs.

For the dash gauge; nothing else. All other temp related functions are unaffected. Just, the gauge will read absolute zero 100% of the time.
