Where is the best spot to place a smoke machine?

Where is the best place to connect the smoke machine to test for vacuum leaks on a 88 5.7 TPI? Just any vacuum hose end?

Spray around with some brake cleaner - when the engine speeds up and smooths out you found it.

Smoke machine can be hooked to any vacuum port under the throttle blade.

I like to use the canister vent line if available, or the map sensor port
