Car dies

My 86 transam dies when at a light, putting it into reverse. Must always keep foot on the gas to prevent dying. The car is mostly rebuilt with tons of new parts. What could be causing this?

Are you saying the car dies when you come to a stop at a stop light, or when putting it into reverse?

Does it do this when the engine is cold? Hot? Doesn't matter?

Which engine does your Trans Am have?

Both at a light and when putting in reverse. Only when the engine is warm. It’s a 305 tpi

Any of a multitude of things could cause that problem; what have you already checked/replaced and thus eliminated as a possible cause?

When the car stalls, what is the fuel pressure, and does the engine have spark at the plugs?

We have replaced the plugs, wires, injectors, fuel filter, fuel pump, ecm, prom chip..,,,,,basically everything. Only thing that is original is the engine and transmission.
