3.73 gears for combo?
3.73 gears for combo?
Just completed my build and am very happy with it. Except that I could use a little more get from the hole and roll. My specs are:
1991 Camaro Z28 5.7
Auto TH700R4 with 3.23 gears
Stealth Ram
280XFI Cam
3000 Stall
AFR Heads
C6 Wheels and tires, rear is 285/35 19 or 26.9" Height, (stock 25.6")
I was thinking 3.73s would be perfect but wanted to hear thoughts and opinions? Driving is mostly short with some highway driving, cruise around 55-80 mph in over drive.

3.73 should work great since you have overdrive. Only drawback is it reduces top speed (unless your engine is built for revving to the moon). Be sure to swap in the appropriate speedometer drive and driven gears...

Not trying to drive this car to over 150 mph lol. Just from 0-100 and then have a nice cruising RPM in OD. I noticed my setup pulled to 6300/6400 rpms easy today when it shifted into 3rd. Guessing the top of 3rd would be about 140-150mph at 6400/6500 rpms.
