What is this thing??
I'm doing a steering column swap and while installing the new column, I noticed this thingy with the spring on it. The plunger piece keeps falling out. Anyone know what this is and what covers it?

Looks kinda like the neutral safety switch for a manual trans car.

A photo from a little farther back would help. It's hard to tell where exactly it is.

A little more investigation and it appears to be the brake light switch, but what the heck goes over it? I don't have any pieces left over???
