AFR heads- with 'Vette L82 valve covers?

I'm having a nice 350 built up for my procharger. As the AFR 195's are perimeter bolt, I wondered about fitting L82 valve covers as they look cool. My question is, will they clear the pushrods? I will be running 1.6 rr's and T4 Hot Cam (.525 lift)

Thanks

Re: AFR heads- with 'Vette L82 valve covers?

Note that I answered the SPECIFIC question you asked: about the PUSH RODS fitting. I DID NOT say anything about the rockers. In particular, but not limited to, the Poly-Locks.

Last time I used a set of old cast-aluminum Vette VCs with roller rockers, I ended up having to use 2 of the super-thick Victor-Reinz gaskets (about ¼" each) to raise the VCs up enough to clear the Poly-Locks. OTOH, I was also running longer valves than stock, .100" I think they were, (sorry, it was 20 some-odd yrs ago), which of course means the rockers had to be raised by the same amount. On the flip side, I was using Comp steel roller rockers (1600 series), which are a good bit smaller than aluminum roller rockers in general. Since you didn't say what rockers you have, who knows. They are particularly likely to hit the VCs on the intake side, since even stock rockers are pretty close there; but being 1.6, the push rod cup is moved inboard toward the stud compared to stock, so that will add a smidge of clearance (maybe .050" or so) compared to otherwise identical 1.5s.

Bottom line: the push rods will fit with those VCs. YMMV on everything else.

From what I can see the AFR heads do have raised rails for the valve covers, Not sure that's enough to clear the big nuts but would come close I suspect.
