Oil pressure jumps
I have a strange problem. The oil pressure gauge suddenly peaks from 3 to 6 while the car is idling.
It idles a bit rough still after cleaning the carburettor, but I don't understand why the oil pressure seems to peak.
It peaks for just a second and then back to 3.
Unable to upload the short video I have from it because it was not allowed.
Anyone got some idea why ?

Re: Oil pressure jumps
An intermittent in the wiring. Also possibly a bad sending unit.
The logic is, if the wire to the sending unit is shorted to ground, the gauge goes to 0; if wire to the sending unit is open (disconnected), it goes to full scale.

Re: Oil pressure jumps
Also, look at the Sending-Unit, to see if it is leaking any Oil.
