hey just curious, whats the difference between a 5.0 & 5.7 in hp, and what would lets say 2 3rd gens.- one w/ the 5.0 and the other w/ 5.7

stock vs stock the 350 autos were a bit faster then the 305 autos, even tho the 350 auto made more power, the 305 5-speed was actually the fastest.

but what about what the 350 would run:
0-60 and 1/4 mile? as compared to a 305
or is anyone else knows!!!!

The difference in HP and TQ lets say in 92 which was the fastest year, (got faster each year) and take the 2 top models which both have G92 standard. The 305 TPI 5-Speed has 230HP and 300TQ and the 350 TPI Auto has 245HP and 345TQ. BTW the 350 is faster than the 305. L98's run low-very low 14's and the 305's are in mid-higher 14's. The Auto 305's are slower than the manuals. But the 350 TPI Auto IS the fastest.

 

he's correct, the 5.7 was the quicker and faster model. the 5.0 G92 optioned model was about 3 tenths slower.
