No fuel filter

Have a 87 formula project car. Dropped in a 383 carbed engine And replaced fuel sender. Went to change the fuel filter and it seems the car has a birth defect. No filter.

Followed lines from tank to engine bay and no filter anywhere.
Car originally came with a carbed 305. 383 I put in has 436.6hp and 454.4lbs of torque

Re: No fuel filter

Carbed 3rd gens didn't come with a fuel filter back there. It was in the carb.

Re: No fuel filter

Thanks. Thought I was losing my mind. Will put an inline between regulator and carb. It has the high pressure pump in the tank.

Re: No fuel filter

Putting one in like Midias said is probably the better way to go. Not too hard to do since you can buy high-pressure plastic line sections to fit quick-connect filters.
