Hello everyone this may not be appropriate here, but I was thinking that maybe we should get together and make a cd of some sort. With pics, videos, screensavers, and wallpapers that we could all contribute to. It would be pretty neat. Im not sure what all would be on it, but if you have any ideas I would be glad to hear them. I could piece it all together for us, if you emailed me pics of your cars, videos and such.. we could even have a section like a car magazine with the pictures of select cars with their hp ratings, and mods and info.

Im interested in what all your cars look and act like, and its kind of hard finding out about them on the message board.

It would be a good way to show your car of to those who are really interested.

If you interested give me a email at crwilson12@hotmail.com its only temporary for the next couple of days until i get highspeed hooked back up. It would probably take about 3 weeks or so to get it all pieced together, and would give time for everyone to get there info/pics in to me.

I would make the cd available to all thirdgen users.

Of course we wouldnt put any info on it that wasn't necesary, like your street address or liscence number. Just the state you live in or your name. And you wouldnt have to include anyinfo if you wish not to just send a pic for the screensaver or wallpaper section.

I could also put links to other f-body sites on the internet on the cd, such as part manufacturers and mod info pages so it would be easy to find what your looking for on the net.

Well its just a thought. But im serious if your interested

Also I think having exhaust sound clips would be a cool idea. Mine is my sig. Plus check out the exhaust board for other ones.

I don't think the idea of a cd-rom would work all that well, you have to deal with marketing/shipping/packaging and such. Would you try to make a profit off of this? There are so many users that you could sort through, you may as well just put up a website since it could be more dynamic.. the boards are changing every day, as are our cars.

Space is another issue.. a 700mb cd could hold about half of the media I have pertaining to my own car, so you would have to allot some of that 700mb to each person you want to show. There are about 10,000 users on this board last time I checked. The internet holds a wealth of information, I think it may be better to use it instead of creating some sort of hard copy that has to be recreated to be updated. Just mho.
