So over the years like a lot of others I had fan issues so had somebody wire them to be always on. I'd like to go back and rerun them the correct way I assume one side of this connector just goes to the relays , on the other side of the connector there's a ground and a black and red do they go to the fans or in a wiring harness to computer
Assuming this is a dual fan car, you should remove the entire fan sub-harness and return that to factory specs first. You'll need the factory service manual to tell you which color wire is supposed to do what. Then, start at the plugin for the sub-harness on the chassis side, and trace each one of those wires and verify they are arriving at their destinations. I drew out a diagram for myself on paper with what I started with to make it easier to compare with the diagrams in the book and labeled each wire with masking tape and a sharpie as I figured out what they were supposed to do You can disassemble the connectors themselves with a weatherpack terminal release tool, they usually come in the weatherpack connector kits but you can get them individually as well.

yes it is a dual fan car, can you just clarify what you mean by start at the sub harness on the chassis side
George, you need to download and examine the wiring schematics in the service manual that I linked for you in your other thread. The schematics identify connectors in the harness, and then there is another graphic that shows general location of connectors.

yeah I've owned the car about 28 years now and just got back into it a year or so ago, sometimes you just want to come on here and hope for the simple answer but we all know it takes your time and effort to do it ,the Internet isn't Magic.
When I was in my twenties this site was filled with people and answers kind of sad that nowadays it's a fraction of what it used to be but I'm very thankful that there are still some great people on here that are still interested in these cars
I'll run you through an example how to use that manual effectively.
On page 1306 is schematic for primary fan in the dual fan cars (VIN 8).
And Page 1307 is schematic for secondary fan in the dual fan cars (VIN 8).
Let's look at the wire for primary fan power first:
* On page 1306 it shows power for fan comes directly from an Orange (ORG) wire at fusible Link H to "Pin E" at the Fan relay. If I go to page 1211 it has a list of where the fusible links are located. Link H is located left-hand front of engine compartment behind battery. And page 1212 says the Fan Relay is located front of engine compartment on right-hand side of radiator.
* The wire changes to BLK/RED and leaves the Fan Relay at "Pin A", and goes into "Pin C" of a connector named C104. Page 1212 tells me C104 is a 6-pin connector and it is located at front of engine compartment, right-hand side of radiator.
* The wire leaves the mating connector at C104 connector from "Pin C" again as BLK/RED and goes directly to "Pin B" in the connector at the Fan. The ground wire for the fan leaves "Pin A" and is also spliced into the ground wire for the other fan and travels back through connector C104 for some reason and then goes to a ground terminal on the chassis named G104. I did a key word search for G104 and found a schematic for ground distribution on Page 1240. Apparently G104 is common ground for your headlights too.... which is interesting considering the problem you're having with headlights too. I'm not sure where is G104 but that manual says so somewhere, you just got to find it.
You can use this same strategy for other wires you're interested in. I didn't know all those component locations would be on page 1212, I just did a key word search for C104 and it was the first hit in the list.
Page 1561 also has really helpful views of component locations in the car.
Page 1581 has pictures showing what the connectors look like.
That service manual is gold, man. Pure gold. You would not believe what is in there! One day I scrolled through that thing and made an index in a spreadsheet of topics that I might be interested in and which page is starts at. That spreadsheet is mostly how I find my way around.
I can't thank you enough I will dig in and see if I can fry my brain and figuring this out I actually have the original Factory mechanics manual I just have a hard time finding the schematics in the book itself. Thank you!!!!!!! This is a great help I'm gives me starting point
