Secondary cooling fan thermal switch wiring
‘88 L98 TPI…
The previous owner did a bunch of questionable things, but this one has me stumped.
The secondary fan stopped turning on. This fan is controlled by a thermal switch on the passenger side head, and provides the ground that turns on the fan relay.
They had connected the single black wiring to the wiring harness with a butt connector, and the wire has broken at the butt connector.
The problem is, I can’t seem to locate the other end of the wire…where do I need to look to find it?

I found it…it sits right above the starter…black wire.
You’ll never find it unless you get under the car. Turned the ignition on, and verified it’s the correct wire by grounding it, and the secondary fan came on.
