Re: Correct idle speed for 305 TPI (auto)?
Largely the same as any other EFI engine. 650 RPM or thereabouts in both N & D since the ECM cracks the throttle a bit more in D to keep the RPMs constant.

Yup 650 warm, 100 rpm adder park and neutral. Warm iac counts 20-25. If minimum idle speed has been set properly then adjust tps to ,54vdc
Re: Correct idle speed for 305 TPI (auto)?
Target idle is a function of coolant temperature, plus adders for park/neutral, fan anticipate, A/C operation, and keep-alive function. The "setting" is for minimum air position under specific conditions, then the ECM takes over. .

My stock 350 is at about 1000 rpms in park and about 725 rpms in drive.
