Alternator needs a new dummy light

Hello everybody and thank you in advance. I have a 1984 Z28. I recently replaced all the gauges and since then my battery will not stay charged. I figured out that I lost my dummy light when replaced my gauges. I have a resistor to place in line, what I'm struggling with is where to run that wire from to tell the alternator to start charging. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks again.

Re: Alternator needs a new dummy light

Needs to be between switched ignition and the brown wire terminal of the alt. If you put the resistor under the hood, use the pink/blk circuit to get ignition.

Why not just replace the light bulb?...

Re: Alternator needs a new dummy light

The light bulb is gone. When I replaced the gauges, I had to replace the whole cluster. The new cluster did not come with a dummy light. Thanks for the suggestion though.
