OIL pressure gauge not working.

Hello everyone.

First I want to say thank you to all who will help and respond to this post.
Starting off I have a 1992 Pontiac Firebird with the 3.1 V6 it has just over 80 thousand original miles and has C&C T-Tops. I bought the car a little over a year ago from a guy who had it sitting in his driveway for over three years. The oil pressure Guage on the dash does not work. I replaced the OPSU with the exact same one that was in it. Well same size and shape that is. The gauge itself moves a little when the key is turn to the on position. But does not read any oil pressure at all. There is oil pressure to the engine as I can see it when I remove the oil fill cap and look inside with a flashlight. I would really like to get this wirking for peace of mind. Please help. I am trying to save this bird and restore her to her glory.
