Tuning my 355sbc
Follow up post from my last thread and the need to properly tune my carb for my motor.
355sbc
Flotek 200cc aluminum cylinder heads
Comp Cam XE268H
Duration at “.050 224/230
Lift with 1.5 ratio “.477/.480
Keith Black dish pistons
Edelbrock Performer EPS Intake
Holley 750cfm Brawler carb
9.5:1 SCR
700R4 Transmission
2100 Stall Converter
3.23 rear gearing
i have started the process of changing jets and doing test runs per @sofakingdom guide from 2007. While under the hood I decided to record how the throttle blades in the carb reacted while using the accelerator pedal as I have at least 1” of slop travel before the cable gets engaged. The result in the video I posted is secondaries that are lucky if they open 50%.
I also posted a 0-60 run from my GoPro for reference before any jetting or tuning took place.
I will continue to post to the thread as I make changes and record more 0-60 runs for comparison.

Car: Yes

Re: Tuning my 355sbc
Sounds like you need a different bracket for the throttle cable.
It's also likely you need to get your TV cable (to the transmission) sorted out. Otherwise you can smoke the transmission pretty quick.
