Bad gas milege on 92 rs
Bad gas milege on 92 rs
Even if i don't get on the lo3, i still get 17 mpg. There must be somthing wrong if everyone is gettin 22 miles per gallon. I drive around with my foot only partially (we're talkin 1/4 way) down and the auto tranny shifting at 2000-2500 rpms. Why am i still getting bad gas milege. I have a rebuilt tranny and a cat back exhaust. 100K miles. I've heard it could be the cat, but i don't know for sure. I always do regular maitenence. I just replaced the plugs/wires/distributor cap/ and rotor. The car seems to run good. What are some possibilities for the bad gas milege?

ive heard that if you replace the charcoal cannister, it will help restore lost gas mileage. also, try running some gas treatment for a few tankfuls.

I believe the only way a cat hurts milage is if it's blocked. Then your car would be running crappy, overheating and the cat might glow. Make sure your tires are properly inflated.
im not sure but my headder gasket was going, and i didnt know it until it went, and my gas millege was gettin worse and worse but when i replaced it gas milege went way up.. i think the knew o2 sensor i put in helped the most though
