Axle/Gears: 3:27
Camshaft scoring
Top right corner by the gear
Hello any ideas what would cause this no issues yet. I was just changing the oil pan and noticed the cam.

Looks kinda destroyed to me.
Maybe you haven't noticed anything wrong with it, butt I bet, sooner than later, you will.
And when you do, the metal chips it sheds, will take out the whole rest of the engine.
My advice would be, FIX IT, before you button the motor back up.
