Headlight Aiming

Can someone give me a quick and dirty to getting fairly good headlight aim?? The service manual only tells you to use a special tool, and I seem to recall that the "shadetree" way was to park it so far from a wall and measure, etc. etc.

Thanks
Troy

Pull up at right angles as close as you can to a wall and mark the center of the spots your lights make on the wall. Back up straight about 25 feet and check the spots again. The marks for the low beams should be about 1/2" to 1 1/2" lower and 2" to the right of where they were before, and the high beams should be about 0" to 1/2" lower and 2" to the right.
