Fuel sending unit

I have a 1984 Berlinetta 2.8 v6 carborated that I'm restoring. The gas tank and sending unit are rusted to the point of no return. I bought a new tank but having issues finding a new sensing unit.
Question, is the V8 5.0 carbrated Berlinetta use the same sending unit?
I've tried Hawks but the don't have anything for the V6.

Re: Fuel sending unit

The sending units for V-6 and V-8 are the same, unless maybe your fuel gauge is digital...

Re: Fuel sending unit

Some of the 84 v8 cars had an in tank fuel pump. Some didn't. IDK about the V6 cars

Sorry to hack the post, though do you know what the difference is for the factory digital GTA(1988) vs other sending units? My pigtail is "FPE", though I'm not finding anything with that description, and the few I have found list it for the 88/89 Camaro along with 20 other pigtail codes, though not exclusive to the Firebird... and nothing notates the digital dash info.
Tks!
