One or the other how do I do this, tips?

So the problem I’m running into right now. I have a 1985 v8 5.0 trans am 305 carb. I couldn’t screw in the bottom fuel line because the top bolts wouldn’t allow it to move to the right position to align the threads for the fuel line and fuel pump. So what I did was, unscrew the top bolts to allow wiggle room, then I successfully screwed in the bottom fuel line. But now that I successfully screwed it in, now i can’t get the top 2 bolts in. So any advice on how I can go about this😪

Put in the fuel line first. Carefully bend it to where it is as close as you can realistically get it. Then loosen it leaving only a thread or 2 holding it, and put in the 2 bolts. Then tighten the line nut one last time.

tried your advice. But even then, I still can’t move the fuel pump up to align the two bolts. Once the fuel lines in, I can’t even move it up at all, barely but not enough to line the bolts up

Then take the line loose from the carb.

took the line loose, and still can’t shove it enough to get them to line up. Tried both from under and the top. I’m at a loss
