In search of aluminum L98 Heads

I didn't know any better and got my heads through a local Chevy dealer and forked out $900
for them. I actually ported them myself to justify the cost a little better after realizing I could've got Trickflows for a little more. But if you really want them get them used. I would check the classifieds on corvetteforum.com and all other 3rd gen sites. If you find them they'll probably be $400-500 fully assembled. The one plus if you buy the heads new are the strong LT-4 springs that are already on them.

You might want to check with your local machine shops, they can at least tell you where to start in your area. I just got some L89 heads myself. i got a great deal on them ($250) they came ported and polished, and had manley springs. they are good heads if you can get a hold of some.
