High Idle With Purge System Installed

When I bought my car the emissions equipment was all removed. The factory engine is long gone, but I want to get the purge system working again. I recently installed everything and it seems to be functioning but I’m getting a very inconsistent idle (previously idle was spot on). When the TVS opens at temp, the idle jumps a couple hundred rpms. Im running all new hoses except the hose from the canister to the TVS. I would assume it’s a vacuum leak from either the valve or the TVS. Thoughts?

I put a vacuum hand pump on the TVS and Canister valve. Both easily pumped up to 20 HG and held vacuum. Dwell was very low when the engine warmed up.

Chinesium/user error strikes…

the vacuum tree I bought from Amazon had a badly soldered pipe. It broke just connecting the vacuum hose and was causing a major vacuum leak.

Also, I mixed up where the purge and bowl vent hose connect to the canister purge control. I’ll repost my diagram with the proper setup like below.
Vacuum tree was poor manufactured. Don’t buy this one from Amazon!

Proper setup.
Proper setup.

That should solve a couple problems.

Re: High Idle With Purge System Installed

Everything is connected properly, but I'm still dealing with an idle issue. Before I installed the purge valve, the car would fire off into high idle after hitting the gas pedal once (cold start). Now, during a cold start I have to hit the gas a couple times and feather the pedal... I would assume vacuum leak but plugging the hoses one by one don't seem to affect the idle quality. Idle seems to be lower until the car is fully warmed up. Thoughts?
