Needing Head

Brand new here. I have a 1989 Camaro IROC Z that I purchased that has a 383 stroker and runs like garbage. After many nights not knowing what to do, I pulled the upper and lower intake and found the exhaust and intake valves cracked and loose inside the head. The heads that are on it are 007 dart heads. After bringing it to a engine shop they're telling me that I'll need full rebuilds but they're recommending me getting different heads. Should I get those rebuilt for approximately $1,000 or just get a new set of aluminum heads?
Looking for recommendation is on heads. Something that will bolt in place and still utilize my TPI. Needs to have holes for center bolt valve covers. It's a very mild built 383 stroker, looking for something that's in the $1100 range or less.Thank you!

Since we are talking about getting head here, stock stuff sucks.
The best GM head they ever made were the late model vortec heads. i think 066and 996 are the casting. im probably not right, but
a quick google search for sawtooth casting will bring up the right info

the issue then is getting them rebuilt and then modified to allow the usage of a higher lift cam.

Youre new ready to run off the shelf aluminum heads will make more power per dollar then the stock heads ever will.
It's a proven fact.

It's always better to get some new head then the same old used ones..
