88 Trans am idles rough after reinstalling the old hood

I have a 1988 trans am with an aftermarket intake, recently I removed the hood to repaint it, when the hood was off, I noticed the car would idle rough, the tachometer was bouncing around and when i put the car in drive, it would stall. I figured that it was because the engine was getting too much air, and putting the hood back on would fix it. After I reinstalled the hood,
the engine idled better but is still a little rough and comes close to stalling sometimes. Does anyone know why this is or how to fix it?

The hood on or off is just a coincidence. First thing I would be checking for is a vacuum leak.
