85 Iroc Camaro won’t stay running

Good morning need a little help. My Camaro stopped running about a week ago (lb9).I ran the codes and got a code 22. I checked the tps and it was bad it was not reading the right voltage so I replaced it. Car runs but won’t stay idling. I need to give it gas for it to stay running. If I leave it reved up for a little bit it will stay running after awhile. If I turn it off and turn it back on it will die again. I checked the fuel pressure it is at 42 psi. Any help is appreciated.

Re: 85 Iroc Camaro won’t stay running

What is the TPS voltage at the closed-throttle position?

After TPS replacement, was the battery disconnected for several minutes to clear error codes and learned data?

Was the IAC cleaned and lubricated, along with the air passages in the throttle body?

All of those could be important.

Got it going. I took the throttle body off and cleaned the passages. I replaced the IAC valve. I set the voltage at 0.54v with the volt meter it starts and stays running now. Thank you for your help.

So the same problem came back. When I cold start it it will just die. After it gets a little warm it will stay idling. It use to I’ll at about 1000 rpm when first started and then slowly drop to about 650rpm’s. Now when I start it I have to keep my foot on the gas til it gets a little warm then it will stay idling. The check engine light does not come on.

Is there any noticeable wear or movement in the TB shaft, or any binding?

So I got a little curious and let the car warm up and let it idle. I disconnected the iac valve ti see if the idle would change and when I did nothing happened. I a going to replace the iac tomorrow and see if that fixes the problem. I also put in in diagnostic mode and could not feel the iac moving.
