check vacuum lines to the regulator. on the newer cars if they are bad the lines fill with fuel.

Anyways, what kind of plugs did you put in? Did you actually check the resistance of your plug wires (10K ohms per foot MAXIMUM)? What color is your spark? Do you have raw fuel in the throttle body and intake plenum that is coming from a leaking fuel pressure regulator? Do any of your fuel injectors leak?

okay, real simple. put a paper clip in you computer thingy under the steering wheel. the top right 2 are the correct ones. turn the key on, dont start the car, just turn it forward. the check engine will flash, pause, flash flash, and will do that a total of 3 times. (if it doesnt do this your computer is messed up, that issue needs to be dealt with before the rich condition can.) after the "12" (flash, pause flash flash) it will give you codes. write down the codes and look them up.
if the computer isnt telling you anything, then anything could be happening to cause the rich condition.
good luck.

check egr valve to see if it is sticking. if it is it sometimes makes car feels like it is falling flat on its face. or fuel filter.

First things first.
He needs to get the codes out to see, if there is something obvious wrong with the car AND to check that the ECM is actually working.
Doing anything before that is like shooting in the dark. There's no point.

x2 on that ^. You have to start with the codes. Mine has had some issues but no codes. My cig lighter fuse was blown. Maybe thats why there are no codes. So much useful info on here. All you got to do is read up on the older posts.
Thanks. My car is pretty crappy too but it shouldn't be for long.

There are only 2 fuses for the ECM... One is in the engine bay and also runs the fuel pump, this being the constant power fuse. If this one is blown, the engine won't run, end of story is that this fuse is good because the engine DOES run. The second fuse is the ECM-IGN fuse in the fuse panel. If this one blows, the engine won't run again because the ECM won't know that the ignition has been turned on.
Either this guy isn't pulling the codes right or the ECM has some major problems. There is a chart in the FSM for no codes, if necessary...
