aftermarket intake

which aftermarket intakes would not result in hood clearance probs on an 83 bird 305 4 barrel and stock airbox?

I think they would all be fine except high rise one's like the Performer Air Gap, the Edelbrock Performer and RPM will fit.

actually the airgap and perf rpm are the same height 4.65"

the performer is the only one that will fit a stock hood without a drop base aircleaner.

Check out the Weiand 8004 or the one in the 8000series that's right for your car. Of the lower rise manifolds it outperformed HOLLEY AND Edelbrock in a Hod rod manifold comparsion some yera back.I'm not positive if it will clear but some one like Summit or Jegs may have a application chart.
