Fuel pump or fuel pump relay???? help
Stats: 1992 B4C Camaro 140,000 mi
While driving the other day, i came to a stop light where i waited to make my left turn. When the light turned green, i started to go, and all of sudden, she just died. I coasted over to the side of the road and attempted to restart. Cranked and started fine for about 1 second, then died. Same thing the second time i tried. Third time, she started up perfectly and ran fine the rest of the day. Only strange thing, and this might be coincedence cause i was sitting in traffic, was my temp gauge was a tiny bit hotter than usual. Now, this moring when i went to start her, same thing. Third try, she fired up and stayed running, and even when i stomped on the gas, she sounded great. Now the question is, is it just the relay crapping out, or is the pump about to die. Thank you all for your help, and since a Corporal in the Marine Corps doesnt get paid much, i hope it is just that relay.
