master cylinder interchange

Can a master cylinder from an 83 Trans Am be used in an 84 Z-28? both cars have rear drum brakes. TIA.

Car: 1989 Firebird Formula

Engine: Internal Combustion

Transmission: Completed

Axle/Gears: ones that turn.

Only if you swap and/or splice some lines....the 83 M/C has standard thread fittings, while the 84 M/C requires metric fittings.
