compression question, please help

From what I understand if i put vortec cylinder heads on my car the compression will drop 1 point lowering it to a disgusting except for blower 7.6:1 cr. because of the 64cc chambers compared to my 58cc. If this is true would i be able to say put 10:1 pistons and the vortecs and get slightly higher compression than I have now?
Thanks, Roger

you could also have the heads milled to make them 58cc... costs around $100. A thinner head gasket would also help as would domed or flat top pistons

If you but 10:1 pistons for a 64cc chamber than thy would boost your compression ratioto 10:1 like you want. If you mill the heads you will only gain that compression back its up to you...or get the pistons and mill the heads....hehehe

So if you did put the vortec's on and milled them what kind of cam could you run?? because then you would have valve clearance issues right???
