Crimping plug lead ends... any advise?

I've got the Moroso Blue 8mm, and they come with the wire stripper and boods with HEI connectors. I'm finding it tricky crimping the connector on the distributor end of the leads (the spark plug end has a boot on it already)

Any advise from you wisened gurus? I've done 4 already with electrical pliers, but am not sure how well I have done them or how well they need to be done..

FYI, I use the right angled boots.

Also, any tips on what leads must be kept away from each other and what works best?

Thanks :lala:

hi bro.
i have 8mm stock wires that came as long as a snake's fart and decided to cut the exess but at the spark plug side, to remove the boots only had to pull them and after i've finished pushed them back in. without problem, and now i feel my babe runs better.
summit does sell a spark plug wire crimping tool at about 17 buks, but i've used my old cable tv. crimping tool, it wasn't perfect but works perfect,
i wish i had the crimping tool anyway, because that's the way to do it.
Fern.
