Time to drive her

Hello! I'm new to your forum and have a couple general questions. I have a 1991 Camaro RS TBI with 15,000 original miles. I bought the car new and only drove it on sunny weekends. I just bought a 2002 Corvette Coupe and want to start driving the Camaro on a daily basis. I am interested in recommendations to make sure the Camaro is up to speed. (Change plugs?, coolant?, etc.?) The car runs great and got perfect numbers on the emissions test.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Scott

Welcome aboard,

I'd check the condition of the hoses, as they might have gotten weak from sitting.
Have you ever changed the plugs and wires? If not, I would go ahead and do it, now I thought they were good for 20k miles, but since you can afford a Vette I don't see the harm in replacing them now, since you will be driving it more often. I'm sure others can elaborate more.

Welcome.

I rcently got one woth 22,500 on it and had to do somework to it to make it work better. I put new plugs, belts, and if you have AC get it re cored...wait til summer. I also would get the radiator drained and done...its better to be safe than sorry. start looking at all your wires and have them replaced. If they have ast for that long they probably have maybe cracked. If its a TPI then you don;t need to but they have carbon cleaner you need to this to clean out the carb and get some of the carbon buildup off your pistons. I hope this helps this is what I had to do....
