How did you make your air intake? What size K&N cone did you use? I have been wanting to do this but couldn't figure out how to do it properly. The air intake on the stock Firebird is really restrictive.

well, first off it wasn't a k&n air filter, it is by "american products company" think its called the intimadator or something (i attached a pic of what it looks like, but this is from my grand am 4 an idea) i got it at PEP BOYS for about 26 bucks after tax- it comes in 1 size-
so i disconnected by original airbox w/ air filter, and attached the cone to the black plastic pipe (goes to the engine) the pipe fits snug over the cone filter! not to bad of a setup, huh?
plus it looks hot! :hail:
any comments, what kind of hp you think that should make? i was thinking something like about 4-5?

So you just took out the air box and put a filter on the pipe that goes to the airbox? Pretty good setup though. Should give you a couple of horses and help with breathing. I think anything is better than what we have now on the car.
