well i was drivin down the road and turned it on one day,and the light on the dash just stayed on,didnt blink,so i checked it out at nite, and the front light came on and stayed on like the dash, but the back one didnt,so i figured burnt balb in the back, when i put my strobes in i checked it,and there wasnt nothin wrong with it,put everything back together and left my house, and the signal worked fine, but my left side drivin light was out in the back, its like either one will work or the other one, wats wrong with it???
alright im a little new to this, where would the grounding be?thanks for your advice also, and yea i have some strobe lights in my brake lights, and i really dont care if you guys say they are rice, cuz i like them, and will be puttin alot more strobes and neon on MY car.thanks have a nice day..
Calm down 84 no one got on your case about it, he just asked "stobes?" I had a similar problem with my maro a few years ago, the dash turn signals wouldnt flash and the lights themselfs wouldnt flash. ( I noticed all on my way to my first year of college) Well after a quick stop my car wouldnt start. Dead battery and altenator. The guy said it could have been some sort of warning. I dont know how true that is, but once i got the new parts in worked fine. I havent had the problems since.
The ground connections for the rear lamp sockets is on the rear body panel, hidden by the lamp housings. Look at the wiring on the lamps sockets and trace the ground connection to the body. A quick way to test/eliminate this as a problem is to rig a jumper wire from a known good ground and connect it to the lamp shell or socket grounding wire. The engine is usually a reliable grounding point, as is the negative battery terminal.
