How can i tell if an engine's a 305 or a 350. It has the T.P.I. and is out of the car, therefore i can't just check the vin #???

Thanx

Get the casting numbers off of the drivers side rear of the block. I think there is a casting number interpreter on this site somewhere......

Look here:

See where it says 14093638? Get the number off your block in that spot. In the picture, the trans would be at the bottom.

Worst case you can pull a head and measure bore... Maybe just a valve cover and cross-reference the head casting number.
