horsepower??
how much hp do the 71 350 motors have stock??? mine is stock except for the intake and carb... i was told the motor came from a 71 nova ss.. probably not but any help will be appreciated..

The '71 Novas came with a few engine possibilities. I used to see these cars in my sleep, since I worked on a fleet of them that belonged to a U.S. Postal contractor. These all had the base 250 inch inline six and Powerglides. The next "upgrade" was the often maligned 307 V-8 with the same two-speed auto. The car was also available in 1971 with either of two 350 inch V-8s. One was BHP rated at 245 HP, the other was rated at 270 HP.
In late October of 1970 the 'F' cars were released after some production delays. The '71 Z-28 Camaro had a 350 inch engine conservatively rated at 330 HP at the crank. The reality is that they produced more like 380+ HP. I guess Chevrolet finds it difficult to break these old habits...
