I'm confused about intakes

What's the difference between the 55-86, 87 up Like the TBI intake on my 305, and the Vortec as far as bolting up and interchanging? TIA

Difference is bolt hole angle. After 86 the middle 2 holes on either side were changed to 90 degrees. The Vortecs have all the bolt holes at 90 degrees, and I thought the intake ports were different as well.

You can modify a 86 and up intake to fit the old style by doing some grinding.

Thanks for the reply. The reason I asked is because I have the intake from my ZZ4 and wanted to try to fit it on my 305 and use a TB adapter. I wasn't sure if it was possible or not.
