federal scrappage bill (s1766)

I don't know if many of you are aware!

I just got the latest copy of Hot Rod magazine, on page 18 it tells about the federal bill (S1766) to scrap any vehicle over 15 years. For those who have not heard anything about it is in the making.
If this is beating a dead horse then I apologize to you all, hot roodding is a part of our history, an definitely something I want my sons to be able to enjoy first hand and not read about "what was"!!!
Thanks for reading and I hope we all bug the heck out of those who can inpact things like this. DL

It's been discussed several times. No big deal, the gov't can't just come and take your car.

This is all from a Congress that can't seem to decide on what to do with our money, and can't figure out term limits to "scrap" the old representatives. I say we do a one-for-one trade. WE turn in one 1987 Toyota Corollay and THEY retire one representative. I'm thinkin' they'll run out before we will...

In essence, that bill will probably die in committee as most of them do. As soon as it opens for public comment, it'll die for sure.

If that bill does pass which it didn't pass the last time it was up. I think the likely term "scrap" will mean that they would sell the car to a junk yard or u-pull it so I don't think there is any need for concern. They like Mark said they can't come and just take your car they will offer you a price for it and if you don't want to take the price then so be it. If they tried to take my car they would have to bring more than one or two of them

Just call me the terminator baby
