Why do we enjoy the :) faces?!?!

Are we now able to add a sarcastic tone to type written text?

Can we display happiness without spelling it out?

Maybe when we are

, we don't have to type it out?

Or are we expressing our feminine side by adding these little cute items to our notes....

I do get a kick out of 'em. I believe that it lets us express our human side more than words can.
