Converting 400 to a roller valvetrain

A friend has a 4 bolt Chev 400..He want to convert to a roller cam setup as cheap as possible..It doesnt have the middle bolt holes like the 87 and up small blocks..ITs going to be a street setup with the motor not going over 6000 RPM

Search this board for the word "retrofit", the topic has been covered several times in the last couple of days.

It's easy. You need the roller cam, retrofit hydraulic roller lifters ($250 or so) and a cam button to keep it from "walking". The whole thing would cost you a lot of dough for minimal gain.
