Oil Cooler Lines Rusting. Worth it to replace?

Oil Cooler Lines Rusting. Worth it to replace?

My lines on my factory oil cooler are rusting. I have no clue y. Never been in snow and barely in rain. anywasy is it replacing them or ditching the crappy system?

I took the oil cooler off of my Formula, for the same reason. My lines were rotted badly from years of salt and snow. Five minutes with a cutoff wheel and 6" of rubber hose later the problem was solved. But, in order to remove the cooler itself (which you must if you disconect the coolant lines) and reinstall the oil filter you'll need new bolts for the filter adapter. The filter won't spin on with the old ones in place, they are too tall.
