Hi, i'm kinda new to the board(read alot, never posted thoug), and i'm actually posting this question for a friend, he's buying an 1985 firebird that has a 355 in it and he's wondering about a guesstimate on the weight...i'm not sure...i took a rough guess and said soemwhere between 3200-3400, that car has t-tops, and is a five speed.....
and on another note, if any Chevy S-series enthusiasts are reading this they should check out:

3200-3500 is a pretty good guess. My 88' weighs about 3300. None of our 350 cars came with 5-speeds because the Torque killed the tranny pretty fast. If it's a 5-speed from 90-92 then it will probably be OK, because they were beefed-up. But I'd be worried if the tranney is origionaly from the 86' I had a friend swap a mildly built 355 into his 85' 5-speed and the tranney blew up the same week.
