On some SBC's its down above the oil filter. On some it's by the distributor, threaded into the back wall of the block.
FWIW, I used the tee off an 86 iroc on my 86 Monte. REmoved the above - oil filter one,and used the one by the distrib. For z-bar clearance

It should be at the back of the engine near the distributor. It's a barrel type object probably 2.5" long about 1.5" wide. Unscrew it, screw in the new one. Ultra simple.
