Gas tank heat shield...............
I can't get my gas tank heat shield to stop rattling. Would it be dangerous to remove it? I have a Flowmaster exhaust and doesn't seem to get extremely hot.

My 81 Camaro didn't have no heat shield, and the stock exhaust ran under there. BTW: the Camaro has a 20 gallon tank to boot.
