pre 86 vette heads

Engine: L98
Transmission: TH700-R4
pre 86 vette heads

i know 87 and after, the L98 had center bolt valve covers. what about the L98 in the 86 and earlier vettes? did they have center bolt style also?

Pre'87 Vettes had the perimeter heads...86 verts and all 87 vettes had the aluminum centerbolt heads.

Yes but a set of 87-91 would work even better; but if you can only get the pre 87 heads, then I say go for it.
