Hey I have a question

I just recently discovered the site through someone at ls1.com. I have a 91 camaro RS. I chipped in along with my parents and bought it for my first car. I absolutely love it. It has a 5.0 liter 305 and Im not sure either TBI or TPI? I am interested in finding out 1/4 mile times, 0-60 times, and any just basic information about the car. If anyone has any sites they could give me, it would be appreciated. Thanks...and heres a pic of the car from the dealers website. It looks much better, washed, waxed, and polished....

You've got the LO3 TBI. Next to the LG4 motor it's one of the slowest low HP motor outputs possible around 170HP I believe. If you have an auto your tranny is the 700R4. Your 1/4 time depends, I've heard of different RS running different times. From a high 15, while most are on the border of 16.

Snigg,

Welcome Aboard!

That looks like one clean RS. Certainly better than the cow sitting next to it.

The people at LS1.com didn't steer you wrong. If it is about a ThirdGen, you can probably find it here.

If you get the eighth character from the VIN, you can use that to determine what engine you have. That, along with the Regular Production Option codes (RPO Codes) will tell you a lot about your new vehicle. There should be a white label in the center console compartment or the small storage compartment on the left side of the rear cargo well that lists all the RPO codes for your car. Make a note of those and go to the Tech/FAQ section at the front end of this site to decode all those.

Take care of your new ride - it looks like a nice one.

Once you're ready to get it up to par on regular maintenance items, post back with your questions. I'm sure you'll get a lot of advice and opinions on what to do, and even on some things that aren't clearly defined in the owner's manual.

I believe that some rally sport cars came with the B4C police package, which could have been either an LB9 or L98 engine.
