heres a question for ya
If I bought a new 305 lg4 motor from GM last year would it still have the "peanut" cam in it or would it have newer components ??

If you really bought an LG4, it would have the peanut cam. By designation the LG4 would have all the components that makes it the LG4. Did they give you a build sheet on it?
